About the Designer
Raised in a small town in Pennsylvania, I always had the ocean and adventure in my heart. I joined the U.S Coast Guard allowing me to follow my heart to the west coast. Stationed in San Francisco I fed my soul with beautiful sights, new styles, and a previously unexperienced food cuisine.
After fulfilling my Coast Guard duties, I was still hungry for more adventure and more ready to live than ever. I enrolled in the Design Institute of San Diego to follow my dream of designing. I will never forget the first time exited the airport in San Diego letting the warm sun kiss my skin and seeing the clear blue skies and palm trees. I was where I belonged. My husband was born and raised in Southern California. He taught me to surf and snowboard which further influenced my unique style.
After graduating with my Bachelors in fine art I began working with a design company in San Diego. While working there my husband and I had the opportunity to buy an older cabin in Big Bear Ca to remodel as our mountain getaway. The grinding hours working for a firm were wearing on me, so we made the decision to move to the cabin and enjoy our first years of marriage. For now our little get away is our cozy little home with two huskies that are addicted to the snow.
The goal with Surf and Mountain design is to help others make their vacation getaways become unique homes to share with friends and family.
βThe journey changes you; it should change you. It leaves marks on your memory, on you consciousness, on your heart, and on your body. You take something with you. Hopefully, you leave something good behind.β Anthony Bourdain
